Use of the disc golf course is FREE and open to all.

What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf was designed for players from all walks of life and disc golf courses are often in public parks and FREE to play. Disc golf follows the rules of traditional golf, where players strive to complete each hole in the least number of strokes possible. However, instead of using a ball and clubs, players throw discs, much like Frisbees® but smaller and designed to fly with more precision for the sport. The sport truly is loved by many. Try it out for yourself! Check out the 18-hole disc golf course, located near The Lodge. This is the northernmost permanent course in Japan and it’s right here on base! Northern Japan is teeming with natural sights to explore and we are lucky enough to have access to an abundant wilderness right here on Misawa Air Base. Take a hike on our Nature Trails near The Lodge and look out for the occasional wildlife sighting, to include foxes and serows.

$30 facility rental fee

This camp has seating areas so you can picnic under the trees and a fire pit to roast those marshmallows. Take a hike on the nearby trails or climb the boulder near The Lodge. Reservations here are perfect for scout groups and outdoor education.
